Pictures of Max taken today!

A family is in Hangzhou right now, and just adopted their precious 5 yr old daughter from Max's orphanage.  The orphanage allowed this family to come for a visit, and specifically arranged the day so that some of the children in foster care (like our Max) could be brought in and photographed for their waiting families.  I am so grateful to the family and to the orphanage!  It is so comforting to us to know that this mama had the opportunity to see our son in person, to touch him, and to relay our message to him.  Here's the note I received early this morning about their visit:

"Jill,
We got to meet Max.  He had been brought to the orphanage in the morning, so we could see him, so he was tired and a little scared.  They said he is very shy and for you to expect that he will cry when he meets you.  They wanted to know when you would travel and I told them you were hoping for August.  They were happy to hear it would be soon.  I told him that his family loved him very much and that you were coming soon to bring him home.  He seemed to understand.  :)  "

Awwww.  We couldn't be more ready to hold our sweet boy!

Max is ADORABLE! What amazing photos you received! I can imagine how your arms and heart are aching to hold him! Praying for strength for all of us to endure these next weeks of waiting. It's been so great going through this part of the process with you on RQ. Can't wait to see your little guy in your arms!!!
