Sorry that I'm just now catching up folks, but we've been a tad busy 'round here.
This was Annie's first Thanksgiving and we had such a wonderful day. My sister Karen hosted the dinner this year and we had great food and a nice time just visiting with everyone. We packed a few toys for the girls, and they were delighted to play with their cousin Joe. He was so patient with them.
We have so much to be thankful for this year!
I grabbed the opportunity to try to get a family picture for our upcoming postplacement visit ~ we don't often have someone around to take the photo! Once again it was quite challenging to get a photo with everyone's eyes open!
After dinner we took the long way home and looked at a few Christmas lights, then we came home and started getting out some of our Christmas decorations. When I told the girls it was time to get ready for bed, Allie got huge tears in her eyes and said, "But Chelle and Bella and ChiChi aren't here yet." We finally figured out that she thought it was Christmas Eve already and wasn't ready to go to bed and wait for Santa because she knew that Chelle, Isabella, and Kristi were supposed to come home for Christmas. What a sweetheart.
