AND, this boy is potty trained! He tells us sometimes when he has to go, and he'll just about always go if we put him on the toilet. He has pooped on the toiled twice for us since we got him and hasn't gone in his pullups once. He came to us in underwear with little wolves all over them. :-) We've been keeping him in pullups while we're out and about, but he likes to have his big boy underwear on!
Okay, this isn't about Max, but it was still so unique. The cicadas are thick in the trees here, and so loud! On our first day in Hangzhou, on our way to West Lake, we saw (or rather, heard) a man on a bicycle coming. He had at least a hundred little woven baskets about the size of a baseball, and they all held live cicadas that he had caught! I wish we'd had our camera and video camera out to capture that.
In the mornings here, there are dragonflies flying all around in the air outside our hotel rooms. The girls were so excited to see them the first time!
I'm sure I'll think of a few more things that we want to remember about this trip, and when I do I'll be jotting them down here. and in the meantime, here are a few pictures of our darlin' and some pictures from our hotel room window.

BTW, did you ever find out if you get to meet the foster mother? Maybe you could get your guide to just get a photo of her to keep for Max? You know we really had to push to get to meet Makenna's foster family, but we kept insisting and it eventually worked out.
Hope everyone continues to stay healthy - we just LOVE the photos of Max and your family! XOXO
