Adam left this morning with Antioch Awesome Youth for Summer Work Trip 2008. This year they are going to Chicago to work with Habitat for Humanity. Please pray for safe travels, good times, servant hearts, and time to draw closer to the Lord. In the past Adam's most meaningful parts of work trip were when he could actually make a connection with the people they were helping ~ for instance the elderly woman whose home they were repairing in Dallas, a young underprivileged boy in Denver that Adam spent time with, etc. I don't see them having that same "connection" this time as they help build houses with Habitat for Humanity, so please pray that this work trip will somehow be just as meaningful for our son. Adam, we miss you already!
I've got many preparation lists floating around here this summer: Work trip packing list, Mizzou incoming freshmen dormitory list, new puppy list, kindergarten list, and pre-K list. (We've got a busy August coming up!) Anyway, I'm thrilled that I'm done shopping for ONE of the lists!!
