Wrigley Update

Our Wrigley is almost 4 weeks old now! I think these pics were taken earlier this week, and what a fun surprise it was to see them posted tonight! This week was actually a hard week for us waiting for Wrigley. We found out on Monday that she had become suddenly ill with vomiting. Her breeder, Christie, rushed her to the vet and we waited to find out what was wrong. We prayed that it wasn't parvo, and we prayed that she would pull through. Christie emailed me as soon as they got home and filled me in. The rest had run tests and determined that Wrigley was sick from a bacterial infection. They had seen many cases of this infection in their area, and they suspected that perhaps the flash flooding had spread the bacteria and possibly Muffy had carried it into the house on her paws. Wrigley and the other pups and Muffy were all treated with antibiotics. The following day Wrigley was still very weak, and the vet had Christie administer a mixture of corn syrup, pedialyte and water. That helped Wrigley perk up, and by Thursday Christie said that you'd never guess that she'd been sick. Hooray!! You can imagine how happy we were to see pictures of our sweet puppy tonight. :-)
